This mid-week workshop from Tuesday to Thursday is organized by Penumbra Foundation.  This year we've decide to hold it during AIPAD week which culminates with the Daguerreian Society sponsored NY Photography Fair - Saturday April 7 and Sunday April 8, 2018.   I'll be an exhibitor at this event so if you are in town please stop by.

Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock

I’ve just come back from Mike Robinson’s three day workshop at Lacock and I’m flushed with success and giddy with excitement at the wonderful, sparkling, miraculous plates we all made.

There are so many wonderful places at Lacock Abby to make daguerreotypes.  Walking in the footsteps of William Henry Fox Talbot is magical and inspiring.  Contact Fox Talbot Museum curator Roger Watson for details.

I offer personal and group hands-on instruction in my Toronto studio.  Tutorials are either two or three days covering any topic related to the state of the art, including polishing, bromine acceleration, gilding, tinting and housing methods if desired.  Students make several daguerreotypes during the lessons that they are free to take away.

The tutorial fee is $1000.00 per day, all inclusive, for instructions  plates and materials.
